The hardest lesson to learn...

Eph_6:12  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

The lesson that seems the hardest to sink in sometimes is the lesson that People are not the problem. When I am hurt by someone or a group of people I have to remember it's not them. The person is not the problem, the person is never the  problem.

When I am hurt by someone all I can do is approach them and tell them. Whether they acknowledge it, ask for my forgiveness, or laugh it off is not my problem and it only wastes emotional energy to make it my problem. When someone comes to me with something I said or did that hurt them, all I can do make it right. I ask for forgiveness, I fix the problem. I learn and make a conscience effort not to offend in the future.

Everyone is flawed and the closer you get to someone the more apparent their flaws. That is why once you make the person the issue you miss the real point:  Satan is at work. If Satan can get you to focus on the individual rather than the real issue hes got you distracted and spending energy on something you don't need to spend any energy on.

I believe this is the orgin of:
Racial tension
